You might catch a glimpse of them over Lancashire on Saturday, July 13 as they travel to Southport Air Show
The Red Arrows are set to dazzle spectators twice this weekend as they take to the skies in and around Lancashire for the Southport Air Show.
The flight times have now been confirmed with the Red Arrows gracing the skies on Saturday at 5pm and then at 4.30pm on Sunday. Last year, on their way to Southport Air Show, the Red Arrows flew over Heywood, Bury, Bolton and Horwich before reaching Burscough in West Lancashire and then make a down turn towards Merseyside and Cheshire. Full details of the route the legendary RAF squad take this year are expecting to be released in the coming days.
"We listened to your feedback and we have taken action. The logistics for Southport Air Show have been improved for this year, with changes to traffic management and entry into the event." Last year, there was "massive disappointment" as the Red Arrows' display was cancelled when conditions were described as "unsuitable" for close formation display flying. Southport organisers said the Scottish Air Show took place on the same weekend and some of the flying displays were shared between the two events. This included the Red Arrows.
