The weather forecast has changed, with the mercury to rise higher than originally thought in the coming days
The Met Office forecast has changed after today, Sunday, was initially predicted to be the hottest day of the mini heatwave we are currently experiencing. As forecast, Liverpool has basked in temperatures as high as 26C, with plenty of sunshine as people flocked to beaches and parks to enjoy the weather . Monday is now set to be warmer than experts originally thought, with the same maximum 26C temps as today, rather than the 24C previously expected.
' On Thursday, August 1, we can expect highs of 23C and lows of 16C with the same sunny intervals turning to cloud by late evening, with similar temperatures and conditions on Friday, August 2. Looking further ahead, through to Sunday, August 11, the Met Office states in its long-range UK forecast that the 'weather will typically be dominated by a northwest-southeast split'.
