This weekend, the clocks will go back. But when is this set to happen and why? Here's is what you need to know as well as a look ahead to the few years and the clock changes we're expecting.
The nights are already getting colder and darker, and it's taking a while for the mornings to brighten up too with many of us leaving for work in the dark and coming back in the dark too.
If you're awake, you will notice it will happen at 2am. Despite the good news of some extra shut eye, it also means from this date, it will get darker in the evenings much sooner. But why do the clocks change each year? The tradition started in 1916, with Germany being the first country to adopt Daylight Saving Time to conserve energy.
