It is further claimed she said he’d made threatening gestures to her
A former cop is facing trial accused of lying to colleagues that she had been the victim of a sexual offence. Ex-Police Scotland officer Lucy Thomson is said to have falsely claimed that a man had “uttered threats of sexual violence” to her and then followed her in his car.
And she also faces a charge that she lied to police on a previous occasion, in June 2020, by making a bogus 999 call claiming there was a disturbance with two men fighting on the Isle of Bute when nothing had happened. Thomson, 22, who was a serving officer but has since left the force, is now set to go on trial facing two charges of wasting police time. A hearing took place this week at Greenock Sheriff Court, ahead of a trial scheduled for next month.
