comOne of the top prospects in the country, who hails from Pennsylvania, is now poised to continue his career outside of the state.Spell ranks No. 7 in the 247Sports Composite and No. 3 in the Rivals Industry Rating. He’s widely regarded as the best prospect in Pennsylvania. Momentum had been building for a while between Spell and Georgia. The five-star visited Athens over the past weekend, where things apparently were finalized for his process. Penn State and first-year coach Matt Campbell were slated to host Spell two weeks ago, but he reportedly missed the visit because of the state-wide snowstorm. Missing out on that trip stings especially hard now. However, Penn State will certainly still push for Spell’s services. Perhaps the Nittany Lions can get him on campus for an official visit over the summer. The 5-10, 210-pounder had an excellent 2025 season with his McKeesport Tigers, even though he battled injuries at times.
