An ex-Orlando Pirates star has endured financial punishment after he was ordered to pay his former club a R120K .
This comes after Mlambo lost his court case against Galaxy, pertaining to a dispute he had with the Mpumalanga-based side.
Mlambo moved from AmaZulu to TS Galaxy on a free transfer in the winter window of 2022. At that time, he had signed a two-year deal. He did not get to see out that term, however. This after a fallout with Serbian coach Sead Ramovic saw the former Pirates fan favourite’s contract terminate., Mlambo has lost a case against Galaxy and as a result, has been ordered to fork out 120k!
“The player accused Ramovic of targeting him after the coach had called him ‘lazy’. Thus prompting the player to lodge a case for outstanding salaries on his two-year deal. But the case has been dismissed by PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber . In a letter, seen by this publication, the PSL DRC threw out Mlambo’s case. Galaxy also had a counter case for damages which was also dismissed.
“I can’t lie and say I enjoyed myself at TS Galaxy; I mean, even if you can look at the pictures of when I signed a contract , they say a lot. Sometimes the decisions that we take, we have to listen to our instinct, look at the pictures when I was moving from Chippa to Wits. There’s excitement and there’s positive energy, moving from Wits to Pirates, there’s a bit of fear but there is that enthusiasm. Also moving from Pirates to AmaZulu, there, was that excitement of starting a new chapter.
