Former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Sergio Brown is officially in police custody following the death of his mother a month ago.
Brown appeared in 15 games for the Jaguars in 2015, starting four. He also played for the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Indianapolis Colts in a career that spanned seven seasons. Brown played collegiately at Notre Dame and signed with the Patriots as a undrafted free agent. "Authorities searched Monday for former NFL player Sergio Brown after his 73-year-old mother's body was found near a creek behind her suburban Chicago home. Officers found Myrtle Brown's body, and a medical examiner determined Sunday that she had been injured during an assault."
