Former Dallas Stars center Mike Ribeiro pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Monday for groping a woman at an East Texas lake in 2021.

Former Dallas Stars center Mike Ribeiro pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor Monday for groping a woman at an East Texas lake in 2021.He was acquitted of two sexual assault charges at a trial in February , and a judge declared a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on a third, attempted sexual assault charge.The plea deal came as jury selection was slated to begin for Ribeiro’s retrial on the outstanding attempted sexual assault charge.Ribeiro was convicted of indecent assault and was given credit for a day spent in jail and ordered to pay a $4,000 fine plus court fees, according to a news release.
