Nepomuceno was reappointed to the BOC by then President Rodrigo Duterte on November 8, 2017, barely three months after he tendered his courtesy resignation to give way to the new leadership of Isidro Lapeña, who succeeded as BOC commissioner after Nicanor Faeldon.Nepomuceno then resigned again from the agency in February 2018, claiming he wanted to take care of his business and return to the private sector.
Aside from Nepomuceno, Malacañang likewise confirmed the appointment of Angelito Magno and Glenn Ricarte as assistant directors of the National Bureau of Investigation. Earlier, the OPS also announced the appointment of Richard “Dickie” Bachmann as the new chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission, replacing Noli Eala who sat at the helm of the agency for about four months.
