Updated: Jul. 16, 2024, 1:06 a.m.WILLIAMSPORT — Buying and selling human remains is his living and he made $180,000 doing it in 2022, a former Cumberland County resident told investigators.

Jeremy Pauley walks into the federal courthouse in Williamsport where he pleaded guilty in a stolen body parts case on Sept. 7, 2023. John Beauge | Special to PennLivebecause Pauley objects to the conclusion in the pre-sentence report that his offense conduct resulted in a loss valued at more than $40,000 and less than $95,000.

The prosecutor urged Judge Matthew W. Brann to find Pauley’s conduct resulted in a loss of more than $550,000 which would significantly increase the guideline sentencing range. Pauley claims the body parts and baby corpses have no value because they are deceased and the schools are finished with them.
