A federal judge in San Antonio has sentenced Paul Casey Whipple of Hondo to 50 years in prison.
A federal judge in San Antonio has sentenced a former U.S. Border Patrol agent to 50 years in prison for producing child pornography. Paul Casey Whipple of Hondo was 34 when he was arrested by the FBI on Dec. 19, 2017, after agents served a search warrant at his residence, according to a statement released Thursday by the U.S. Attorney's Office Western District of Texas in San Antonio .
Border Patrol agent charged in child porn case A federal grand jury indicted Whipple on four counts of production of child pornography, five counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography, according to the statement. On June 6, Whipple, now 41, pleaded guilty to all 10 counts. In addition to his 50-year prison term, he must pay $54,000 in restitution and serve a term of supervised release if he ever gets out of prison.
