A former employee of the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind was jailed last week on sodomy and other charges involving a student, according to court records.
Friday that it was notified that “a former employee has been charged with criminal sexual activity with a student enrolled at Alabama School for the Deaf” in Talladega. The institute, which said the alleged abuse did not occur on school property, said it was first told of the allegations on Sept. 26. That day, it put Godbold on administrative leave. He now no longer works there.
