Evil Dead Rise has successfully resurrected the Evil Dead franchise, now these other horror franchises need reboots to scare new generations.
The Evil Dead franchise has been resurrected with Evil Dead Rise, a prequel to Sam Raimi's original horror classic, and a reboot so successful that it proves other horror franchises should receive the same treatment. Making use of the franchise's reliable formula of offbeat jokes that are as delightful as they are shocking and gory deaths filled with buckets of blood, it knows what works, even if Evil Dead Rise's kill count isn't as high as other previous entries.
10 The Creature From The Black Lagoon There's been an uptick in Universal Monster movies recently, which range from the chilling remake of The Invisible Man to the cooky horror comedy Renfield, all about Dracula's henchman and the Prince of Darkness himself.
6 Warlock When a warlock escapes execution in 1691, he travels into the future, but a witch hunter finds a way to pursue him through time and follow his path of destruction. After years of historical period pieces Warlock made Julian Sands a household name, and the campy horror comedy spawned several sequels, the last of which debuted in 1999.
