Vera is about to return to screens, and here's everything you can expect this time around
January 12, 2020 - 19:00 GMT Aisha Nozari Vera is about to return to screens, and we imagine you're just as excited to see the ever-charming DCI Vera Stanhope back in action as we are! Brenda Blethyn will of course reprise her role as Vera, and the show is officially the longest-running, British-made female lead detective series ever to air on ITV.
Who will be in season ten? With Brenda Blethyn back as Vera Stanhope and Kenny Doughty reprising his role as Detective Sergeant Aiden Healy, we can't wait to see who else will be returning for the tenth season of the hit show. We're pleased to report that the likes of DC Kenny Lockhart , DC Mark Edwards , DC Jacqueline Williams and Dr Malcolm Donahue will all star in the newest season of Vera.
In episode one, the team finds the body of a troubled entrepreneur when bailiffs try to repossess his home. It's not long before Vera unearths some dark family secrets that until now have been hidden... How many episodes can we expect? Excitingly, four feature-length episodes will make up the new series. From the strange tale of a man haunted by his DNA result test to a cold-blooded murder that took place during a botched burglary, there's plenty of gripping viewing for fans to look forward to.
