Blackpool hotel fire: Everything we know so far, cause and fire service warning
Fire services in Lancashire swarmed the scene at Blackpool's Queens Promenade after a fire ripped through a derelict hotel.
Crews described the fire as 'rapidly developing' and said it involved almost all of the derelict hotel on arrival. Firefighters quickly got to work to try to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjoining properties. "Our priorities at the moment are preventing the fire spread into adjoining properties. We've got a high level of assurance that we've achieved this. However, investigations are still ongoing and we're using thermal imaging camera and breathing apparatus teams to make sure that that fire spread is prevented.
