The second part of the 'Wicked' movie musical adaptation, titled 'Wicked: For Good,' will hit theaters on November 21, 2025
The first of the two-part Wicked movie adaptation, released in November 2024, brought the beloved Broadway show to life on the big screen. Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, the story chronicled the backstory of the two witches prior to the events of The Wizard of Oz.
The actress added: “We've expanded on their relationship as friends. That's a really important special thing that you have in the show, but here you really get to go with them in that. We've got something really special.”When Will 'Wicked' Part 2 Hit Theaters? Following the act two plot of Wicked, the sequel will pick up a few years after the events of the first film. Now viewed by Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba continues her plans to help the land’s animals while Glinda rises to power as The Wizard’s new spokesperson.
