The first half-marathon starts at 6:30 a.m. in Crissy Field. The second half also starts in Crissy Field at 8:15 a.m. All of this is to space out the runners, so there are no jams in tight spots.
While you can expect some high spirits and even a few costumes among runners during the annual San Francisco Marathon in July, the general mood of the race will be more intense and less giddy than that of the Bay to Breakers race, which takes place each May.According to race organizers, 2023 is supposed to be the biggest event yet.
