The Rhinos boss spoke to the media after the 24-22 win over Warrington Wolves.
I've said it a lot during this year we've never been far away from a result most of the time. We've found a way to get there today, good resilience when the wave was going the other way. We just had to find a way to get there and in the end, there was enough execution in crucial moments and goal-kicking from Rhyse was critical.
I thought both teams were hungry for a victory and looking to generate opportunities and scramble and stay in it. It was one of those days where we just had to find a way. We've had a lot of distractions this year but what I respect about this crew at the moment is they're not looking to use them as excuses, they're just looking to get on with it and they're pulling tighter and tighter together.
We just had to win, it's too soon and I certainly won't be updating my scores on a Friday or Saturday, there are too many rounds, too many twists and turns. I'd say mathematically we're still in control of our own destiny but it's one mission at a time and it's on to Huddersfield now. It's critical we play well next week. He had a bad back spasm that he just couldn't get going.
