The History Fair held at the Medina District Library main campus.

MEDINA, Ohio – Just shy of 200 visitors had the chance to learn about the history of Medina County at the 10th annual History Fair at the Medina Library on Jan. 25.

Genealogy and history covering the centuries and a quiet weather day added to the numbers of people who were interested to see old photos, maps, artifacts and even some old toys showcased by Medina County Historical and Genealogical societies. The library’s family history experts and members of the county’s Genealogy Society were on hand with one-on-one guidance on finding ancestors and urged people to visit the second floor genealogy lab filled with resources.

More than a dozen community historical societies and specialized museums and groups like the Northeast Ohio Railway Museum, Little Wiz Fire and Historic Museum and the Medina Town Hall and Engine House Museum, plus the Daughters of the American Revolution and Friends of the Woodlawn Cemetery attracted people of all ages to their displays.
