New features were shown at Gamescom.
CD Projekt Red has showcased a wealth of new features that will be available in Cyberpunk 2077's first and final expansion DLC, Phantom Liberty, at Gamescom 2023's Opening Night Live event. The new footage provided a detailed look at the overhauled gameplay and a list of new content and abilities that will be available, some of which will carry over to the base game's 2.0 update, which launches on the same day.
Following the new footage at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, Gameplay designer Yulia Pryimak said, "Car chases are going to be a renewed experience with a revamped police system," which bodes well considering the base game's police AI was one of its most infamously lackluster features.
Cyberpunk 2077's Skills & Perks Will Be Overhauled Cyberpunk 2077's skill trees will receive an overhaul when the new expansion and 2.0 update is released. There will be an increased level cap, taking players beyond the current 50 on offer; however, CD Projekt Red hasn't stated what the new maximum will be.
There is also a brand-new Relic category that will be coming to Phantom Liberty, assuming the empty sixth slot that's already in the current base game and complimenting the skills and perks overhaul by giving players new ways of developing unique builds.
