Everyone's saying the same thing over baffling new driving zone
Drivers in Bristol will have to follow a confusing diversion route to avoid Clean Air Zone chargesIt means that the road is both inside and outside the CAZ, depending on which way locals areThe exemption came about because the nearby A38 has been closed until summer 2024, forcing residents of the Whitehouse Lane area of the city through the zone to get to their homes.
Seemingly in response to this problem, Bristol City Council devised a diversion route on which drivers go through the CAZ for 230 yards before turning out of it again. The route runs through the junction which marks the start of the CAZ, with drivers having to pay a charge to enter or risk a £120
