Leading the way is, unsurprisingly, “Boy With Luv,” which features pop singer Halsey. The tune, which is being promoted as the album’s lead single, was the third-bestselling song in America last week, selling just shy of 31,000 copies. All those purchases, when paired with the 29.5 million streams the song and video racked up, should be enough to help the smash enjoy a lofty debut on the Hot 100 when it refreshes in a few hours.
“Boy With Luv” is the only BTS track that manages to make it into the top 10 when it comes to the list of the bestselling songs in the U.S., though two other cuts, “Make It Right” and “Mikrokosmos,” both start inside the top 20, coming in at Nos. 13 and 19, respectively. As the public continues to transition from buying music to streaming it, sales counts drop, but some artists are still able to move sizable sums, especially when they have a new collection to share.
