Here’s how FF7 Rebirth’s summons compare.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT There are 14 summons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and all of them vary in terms of both strength and cool factor. Throughout the Final Fantasy series, summons encompass some of the most powerful offensive options. Most summons recur from game to game, with iconic Eikons like Titan, Ifrit, Bahamut, Shiva, and Odin featuring in almost every single mainline entry. In FF7 Rebirth, summons are unlocked by many different means.
Players automatically receive the Ramuh summon Materia if there's a save file for FF7 Remake INTERmission on their hard drive. Kujata is very helpful when it comes to exploiting enemy weaknesses, but struggles against enemies who resist multiple elemental types. However, it's just nowhere near as cool as most other summons. Its design is unique, but not as imposing as, say, Odin's or Bahamut's. It only has an advantage over the Magic Pot and Ramuh because it's available to all players, regardless of what edition of the game they purchased.
10 FF7 Rebirth's Shiva Is Relatively Weak Unlocked In Chapter 2 Close Another starter summon and recurring Final Fantasy Eikon, Shiva, is the same in FF7 Rebirth as she's ever been. Her specialty is ice-elemental attacks, like the two-ATB, single-enemy Heavenly Strike. Icicle Impact is her area-of-effect ability, in which shards of razor-sharp ice emanate outward from her, piercing all enemies in range.
The Ifrit summon automatically appears in the party's inventory when they first arrive in Kalm. It's initially equipped by Red XIII. 6 FF7 Rebirth's Alexander Has A Unique Design Unlocked In Chapter 6 Close Yet another recurring summon, Alexander has always specialized in non-elemental magic damage. In FF7 Rebirth, it only has single-target abilities, Tracking Beam and Grand Laser, making it ideal for boss fights. Its ultimate attack, Divine Judgment, sees it open up panels across its body like a Transformer, then raze the entire battlefield with laser beams.
4 FF7 Rebirth's Moogle Trio Is Its Second-Cutest Summon Exclusive To Certain Pre-Orders Of FF7 Rebirth Close Three of Final Fantasy’s most beloved mascots can be summoned into battle with the Moogle Trio Materia. This summon is exclusively included with the Deluxe and Collector's Editions of FF7 Rebirth. They have both support and damage-dealing abilities, culminating in the ultimate attack Kupvalse.
