After two years, Interview with the Vampire officially returns this month for its third season, which is titled The Vampire Lestat after the second book in the Anne Rice series on which the show is based.

The season is set to put Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) front and center in his quest to reclaim his image after everything Louis (Jacob Anderson) said about him in Daniel's book. There is a lot to love about Interview with the Vampire, from the sharp dialogue, to the phenomenal storytelling. One of the most enjoyable things about the series, though, are the well-written and captivating romances.

Interview with the Vampire has some of the best romances on television, and they're all about to get even messier and more interesting in The Vampire Lestat. The Vampire Lestat season will put Lestat front and center in his quest to reclaim his image after everything Louis said about him in Daniel's book. This is every ship in Interview with the Vampire, ranked.

Armand and Lestat de Lioncourt's romantic history was one of the funniest and most exciting reveals in Season 2. The two met in Paris not long after Lestat was turned, and to nobody's surprise, it was a very messy relationship. It ended in Lestat leaving Armand, and Armand has hated him ever since. Although nobody actually ships these two together, this relationship is fundamental to both of their backstories.

Lestat learned quite a bit about the fundamentals of being a vampire from Armand, while Armand's anger and hurt towards Lestat over how he ended their romance served to further complicate things between him and Louis centuries later. Lestat and Armand may have never been suited to each other as a couple, but their history is an interesting addition to the complicated love triangle between Louis, Lestat, and Armand.

Interview with the Vampire also features Daniel Molloy and Louis de Pointe du Lac as one of its main ships, even though nothing has ever or likely will ever happen between Louis and Daniel. They are naturally a ship that fans tend to enjoy, even though they prefer them both in their other pairings. The two first met at Polynesian Mary's in 1973, when they struck up a flirtation.

Instead of hooking up, though, Louis wanted Daniel to interview him and take his story. That first interview ended very badly, but 49 years later, Louis still came to Daniel for a do-over. The dynamic between Louis and Daniel is a very fun one. They certainly have chemistry in every sense of the word, but they work best as a platonic pairing with a consistent undercurrent of conflict.

Their best moments saw Daniel giving Louis grief and pushing him during their interview, and Louis finding clever ways to try to manipulate Daniel. They are both better suited for their more passionate and volatile relationships, but Louis and Daniel definitely had a lasting impact on each other after their first interview, and they will always be one of Interview with the Vampire's most compelling dynamics.

Armand and Louis have had their fair share of complicated romance as well, having been together for 77 years in the show. They had a torrid romance when they first met in Paris, but Louis struggled to get Lestat out of his head, and Armand felt insecure about all the obstacles standing in the way of their relationship.

However their relationship officially went up in flames after Louis learned the truth of Armand's role in the trial and Claudia's death. Claudia and Madeleine are also a compelling couple, and had they lived, their relationship would have been a true representation of love.

They were both turned into vampires at a young age, and after always feeling lost and out of place, Claudia found a real home in Madeleine, the only person to truly understand her and see her for who she was. If becoming a vampire and joining Claudia as her companion weren't enough of an act of devotion, Madeleine really proved her love for Claudia when she chose to die with her instead of joining Théâtre des Vampire.

Claudia and Madeleine perfectly exemplify real love and true devotion, and although they were never made explicitly romantic in the show, they are easily the healthiest romance of Interview with the Vampire - and one of the three top-tier ships
