The 2024/25 Premier League season is set to kick off this weekend, with Liverpool and Everton both harbouring high hopes for the campaign ahead. Both teams are in action on Saturday afternoon. Liverpool will again be looking to challenge at the top of the table, despite the managerial change in the summer and frustration in the transfer window so far. The Reds are yet to bring in any new faces, but have had a successful pre-season under Arne Slot .
Sport takes a look at the changes being introduced. The Premier League has confirmed the successful use of a new system during Euro 2024, which is set to be rolled out after one of the autumn international breaks. The statement explained: 'Computer vision cameras powered by Genius Sports will be installed in every Premier League stadium. These cameras around the ground will track the ball as well as thousands of data points for each player and the ball.
