Many stars have had their families cameo in Star Wars, but only Ewan McGregor’s has truly solidified their legacies within the galaxy.
Last year, Ewan McGregor returned to Star Wars in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, and it further solidified his lasting legacy in the franchise. Outside the role of Obi-Wan, McGregor has a deep connection to the franchise due to his family’s appearances in different Star Wars projects. While other Star Wars legends like Mark Hamill had his three children cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, McGregor’s familial links to Star Wars are a bit more prominent.

2 Mary Elizabeth Winstead Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be making her Star Wars debut later this summer as the live-action version of Hera Syndulla in the Ahsoka Disney+ series. Hera is already a beloved character from her time in Star Wars Rebels, and Winstead has the opportunity to make the character her own. In real life, Winstead is married to McGregor, and they have a son named Laurie. The couple have been together since 2017, but married in 2022.
