Arne Slot broke several Liverpool records after guiding the Reds to a 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Reds moved up to second in the table, behind Manchester City on goal difference. Slot had been keen to temper expectations heading into the campaign after replacing legendary Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp .
The last manager to do so for Liverpool was Bob Paisley after he replaced Bill Shankly . Slot also became the first Liverpool boss in nearly 90 years to claim a victory on their maiden trip to Old Trafford. The last Reds manager to do this was George Kay back in 1936 after he guided Liverpool to a 5-2 victory 88 years ago. The final record smashed by Slot was thanks to Liverpool's clean sheet against Man United.
