The performances – especially from Emilia, Scoot, and Nessa – are magnificent, and I loved every moment they were on-screen together OR apart.
You really fall in love with their characters and ally yourself with their struggle from the very first frame. It feels like a really confident and sensitive take on the time and place setting, and serves as a soul-crushing reminder of the tragedy of the AIDS crisis.
