While Abbott Elementary isn’t primarily focused on romance, the workplace sitcom still has plenty of memorable couples. Abbott Elementary’s cast of characters is reliably hilarious, and the workplace mockumentary mostly focuses on the trials of their work lives. From field trips to fire drills, Abbott Elementary’s faculty have plenty to keep them busy during most of the show’s outings. Despite this, the series still somehow finds plenty of time to explore the love lives of its heroes.
9 Gregory and Taylor Barbara Howard’s Daughter Never Seriously Dated Gregory Close Although the first frisson of Janine and Gregory’s romance dates back to Abbott Elementary’s pilot, the pair didn’t even come close to dating in season 1. While Janine was busy with Tariq, Gregory briefly dated Barbara Howard’s daughter, Taylor.
6 Barbara and Gerald Howard Barbara and Gerald Are Abbott Elementary’s Most Reliable Couple Close While Melissa and her new beau didn’t get enough screen time to establish their chemistry in earnest, Barbara and her husband Gerald are an even more extreme instance of this approach. Barbara Howard’s husband has only appeared in a few Abbott Elementary episodes, although this is arguably justified by the duration and stability of their relationship.
4 Gregory and Amber Amber Was Charming But This Relationship Was Fooling No One Close While Abbott Elementary season 4 might revive Gregory’s principal ambitions, season 2 put a clumsier obstacle between him and Janine. Amber was the mother of one of the children in Gregory’s class and, while she was perfectly likable, it was always clear that her relationship with the young teacher was doomed.
3 Melissa and Gary Melissa and Gary’s Love Story Seemed Perfect Close Melissa and Captain Robinson’s lack of shared screen time was the primary reason their pairing ranked so low on this list, but it would be a lie to say that Melissa’s last relationship didn’t cast a shadow over her latest romance. Melissa and Gary the delivery guy shared Abbott Elementary’s sweetest romance for some time, as the tough Gary softened up around Melissa and no one else.
