There are now more places in the city of Everett where people can get cited for sitting or lying down on some public spaces.

Police are enforcing the new rules between California and 33rd streets, and from Grand Avenue to Oakes Avenue. KOMO News cameras saw two officers approach one man standing outside a hotel, sending him elsewhere. “I don’t think they can keep people off the public sidewalks because the public sidewalks belong to the people,” Stegenga explained.
