Fire crews are responding to 'multiple fires' in Yavapai County
SAN CARLOS, Arizona — A 500-acre wildfire is being driven by high winds on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation in eastern Arizona, the Forestry Department and Fire Management of the San Carlos Apache Tribe said.
The fire started Thursday afternoon in the Seven Mile District, officials said, and the following areas have been ordered to evacuate:. Residents can call 961-6259 if they need transportation. A first-aid kit, prescription medications, contact lenses, and non-prescription drugs should also be taken into account. Copies of any important family documents, including insurance policies, identification, bank account records, and emergency contact numbers should also be taken and put into a waterproof, portable container in your kit, the NFPA said.
