Having lived in both Mexico and Spain for three years because of work, actress Eva Longoria spoke about how Los Angeles is no longer home in a cover story for Marie Claire magazine. The Corpus Christi native known for her breakout role on ABC 's “ Desperate Housewives ” said Los Angeles was changing even before the COVID -19 pandemic, which “pushed it over the edge.” After spending her adult life there, she said that chapter was over. Longoria, 49, also made comments about the U.S.

Longoria later clarified she did not leave the country because of the election results when she called friend Ana Navarro, who happened to be taping a podcast for “The View” talk show.
