With Schafer heading to Blade Runner 2099, Euphoria season three has officially taken 75 years
As the school year is almost over and summer is heating up, model-turned-actor Hunter Schafer is getting her plans in order. Will she be heading back to Euphoria High School for more Euphoria ? Well, maybe someday if Sam Levinson ever finishes his final exams. In the meantime, Schaffer ’s will watch C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
Set 50 years after Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, the upcoming series promises an even more dystopian view of Los Angeles and, perhaps, a glimpse of those off-world colonies. We have no idea what the plot will be, but we assume it will involve a blade runner hunting down and retiring replicants, some of whom make for overly convincing and empathetic humans. In 2021, Scott told the BBC that the series is “the first 10 hours” of a TV show, presumably making for a 10-episode first season.
