Obituary: 'Start your story at the end.' Eunetta T. Boone, a TV sitcom creator, offered advice for aspiring writers.
As a writer and producer of television sitcoms about African-Americans, Eunetta T. Boone aimed to get laughs without demeaning her characters or reinforcing stereotypes.
Ms. Boone, who died March 20 of a heart attack at age 63, was a Columbia University graduate and former Baltimore Evening Sun sportswriter who made the jump to Hollywood in her mid-30s. Her triumphs included creating and producing “One on One,” a United Paramount Network comedy about a single father bringing up a teenage daughter.
