European-built orbital satellite is launched to space from Florida on a mission to shed new light on mysterious cosmic phenomena known as dark energy and dark matter — unseen forces scientists say account for 95% of known universe
The telescope's highly anticipated 3D map of the cosmos will span both space and time in a bid to explain how the dark universe evolved and why its expansion is speeding up. / Photo: AFP
