Lumabas sa imbestigasyon ng pulisya na ang nakatatandang kapatid ang suspek sa pagkamatay ng 14-anyos na babaeng estudyante na tinamaan ng bala ng baril sa mukha habang sumasagot ng modules sa kanilang bahay sa Talisay City, Cebu.
Sa ulat ni Fe Marie Dumaboc ng GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak sa GMA News 24 Oras nitong Lunes, sinabing taliwas ito sa naunang inilabas na impormasyon na pinasok ng salarin sa bahay ang biktima at basta na lang binaril noong Biyernes ng umaga.
Ang dalawang kapitbahay umano nila ang gumawa ng kuwento para mapagtakpan ang kaniyang 21-anyos na anak na si Edwin Jr."Sinabihan niya ang kaniyang kuya na umusog dahil magmo-module siya. Dahil siguro pagod na siya nakatulog. Pag-usog ni Jr. , gumalaw siguro si Jacauelyn, nahulog daw ang baril [at pumutok,” ayon sa ginang.
Ayon kay Police Lieutenant Colonel Epream Paguyod, OIC, Talisay City Police, na kakasuhan maging ang mga kapitbahay na naglihim ng tunay na nangyari sa biktima.
