Esteban Ocon feeling ‘stronger’ having been ‘really ill over the winter’Esteban Ocon is feeling “stronger than ever” heading into the new season, not only having recovered from illness but also in his understanding of F1’s ground effect aerodynamic cars.
It’s the second generation of car under F1’s latest spate of technical regulations, the sport having switched to ground effect aerodynamics last season. But while his pre-season preparations were hampered by illness, the Frenchman says today he’s feeling “stronger than ever”. “It’s been difficult to understand how things were working with this car – but now we have a second year with the same regulation in the end and the same team and the same people around me, it’s a good moment to keep stepping up.
