Laura Garcia Esparza and her children Miranda and Marco Esparza were killed by a tornado that destroyed their mobile home.On Saturday night, Refugio “Cuco” Esparza, 49, and his family were sheltering in a room of their mobile home in Valley View when theHis wife, Laura Garcia Esparza, 49, and children, Miranda, 15, and Marco Esparza, 9, died at the scene.They are three of the seven victims of the May 25 tornado in Valley View.
“The good thing is that another brother who lives nearby, to whom nothing happened in his mobile home, quickly went to pick up my brother and his son to take them out to the road and deliver them to the ambulance,” said Esparza. “The bodies stayed there because they died instantly.”that he used a mattress to pull him up so he could drag him to his truck and take him to the ambulances on I-35.Refugio suffered injuries to his head and pelvis. His son, Miguel, also suffered head injuries.
