A new Escape From Tarkov patch has arrived and has made the game easier than ever before thanks to the introduction of a softcore mode.

The inertia and overweight thresholds have been changed, which means you can carry way more loot with you without negative effects, and should mean you can really supercharge your income from each run. There’s also way more loot containers on each map, meaning you have a better chance to find the best loot, and you can list way more items on the flea market, making it even easier to maximise your earnings. Most of the changes for the softcore mode seem to be around the economy and looting, rather than actually making it easier to kill enemies or extract, although you will get more XP for extracting and your skills will level up faster., but this should be a fun way to end the last beta wipe, with everyone being as rich as possible, running the best gear, and just going at each other with crazy builds. I also expect us to get a few end of wipe events as usual in the run-up to launch, which should make the craziness even more entertaining for the final weeks of Tarkov as we know it.did over the summer, but the intention behind it is essentially the same.
