A Denton ISD school bus driver was fired after the district, along with Denton police, investigated reports from parents that the driver drove “erratically” Tuesday afternoon.A statement from Denton police said officers were called Tuesday afternoon after multiple parents called to report that a Denton ISD school bus driver was driving a bus full of kids erratically. Upon arrival, officers met with a mother who told police the driver had closed the bus doors on her arms, causing pain.
However, Denton ISD said in a statement Friday that following a “thorough investigation,” the driver is no longer employed with the district. The district had previously said in a letter addressed to parents the driver had been placed on leave.According to the letter, the bus involved in the incident served Evers Park Elementary School. District officials also said no children were harmed during the incident.
