Man United were defeated in the Manchester derby and the performance raised a few more concerns about Erik ten Hag.
The boos have returned at Old Trafford, the manager is under pressure and Manchester United appear to be stuck in purgatory.
Ten Hag enjoyed an excellent first season, a trophy was won and Champions League football was secured, but the team has spectacularly regressed and the manager is beginning to look like a deer caught in the headlights. The team has gone backwards after signings that were supposed to take it forward, key players are underperforming and there are tactical concerns with the manager that are becoming harder to ignore each week.
Ten Hag has been let down by his most talented players and there's been an injury crisis to contend with, but United currently look like a team destined for a mid-table finish and their squad is objectively better than that. The questions are mounting for Ten Hag and fans want answers. Why did he start Jonny Evans over Raphael Varane? Why did he take Sofyan Arambat off? Why did he want Mason Mount? Why did he bring Rasmus Hojlund off?
