Ten Hag wants yet another of his former Ajax stars at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag again turning to one of his old Ajax players Erik ten Hag is eager for Manchester United to sign Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui – believing the right-back can help revive Antony’s career at Old Trafford. United have spent almost £90million this summer in bringing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to the club and are in talks to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain to strengthen their options in midfield. The United boss is also keen on a new right-back.
Mazraoui and Antony forged an understanding operating down the right during their days together at Ajax with ten Hag believing the full-back’s presence can improve Antony’s performances, The Times report. Antony and Mazraoui starred in the same Ajax team Antony was signed from Ajax for £85million in August 2022, scoring in his first three appearances for the club.
