The teen's parents say they are thankful for many blessings this week as Erik gets stronger.
Erik Cantu left the hospital with his parents and is back home recovering nearly two months after being shot by a now-fired San Antonio policeman.Erik Cantu has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home.
"Our family's prayers have been answered, and we are incredibly grateful that our son Erik is home with us" his parents said in a statement. "Erik still has a long road to recovery ahead of him but, we are overjoyed at his progress in the past two weeks," they added., who has since been fired.after being taken off a ventilator.
