Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, was spit on in the face by an employee of a popular upscale Chicago bar, The Aviary, Tuesday night, multiple sources from the scene told the local NBC station.
Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted late Tuesday night that officers were “assisting the United States Secret Service with a law enforcement matter,” adding that any further inquiries “regarding a federal protectee” should be directed to the Secret Service. The Secret Service declined to comment to local news outlets.
Eric Trump further commented to Breitbart, presuming to characterize the political leanings of the employee: “For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.”
