With a little more than a week left until the election, the former president will be speaking at Madison Square Garden Sunday. The stadium in New York City is decorated with red, white, and blue lights ahead of the rally. Trump’s supporters began lining up overnight to get in.“Listen, there was excitement, an incredible excitement in 2016 when my father came in, but now you feel love, right? You feel true love,” Eric Trump said onSunday.
Trump said Madison Square Garden is “a special venue” because of his family memories there, watching various sporting events and concerts over the years. He said his whole family “loves that building.” Sunday’s rally will include a long list of speakers including running mate J.D. Vance, Elon Musk, Dana White, and Tucker Carlson. Some prospective members of the next presidential cabinet should Donald Trump win will also speak including former candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.New York did not elect Trump in either the 2020 or the 2016 election. The last time New York elected a Republican for president was Ronald Reagan.
This is Trump’s third major stop in New York City while on the campaign in recent weeks, with two stops in the Bronx.
