Several red states have enacted similar legislation to protect women's sports. A reported 21 states bar biological men from participating in women's sports, including Montana, Idaho, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Kansas, West Virginia, Wyoming, Indiana, and Mississippi.
