Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Bobby Weir will pay tribute to the late Robbie Robertson

A Kia Forum concert honoring the late Band co-founder will feature Lucinda Williams, Trey Anastasio, Elvis Costello, Mavis Staples, Eric Church, Robert Randolph and more

Eric Clapton, right sings with the late guitarist Robbie Robertson, during Clapton’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Clapton, along with musical stars such as Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Eric Church, and Trey Anastasio, will play tribute to Robertson, who died in Aug. 2023, at Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson at the Kia Forum in Inglewood on Oct. 17, 2024.

Others in the lineup include Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples, and Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench. Daniel Lanois, who produced some of Robertson’s solo work, will play, as will Jim James of My Morning Jacket. Allison Russell, who like Robertson, is Canadian, will play, too.
