Eric Church's tour kicked off its 2022 leg to the tune of $6.7 million and 50,000 tickets sold.
The biggest and most metropolitan of the four cities, Detroit’s Jan. 22 show was the strongest of the four, approaching double-eight-figures with a $1.993 million gross and 17,000 tickets sold. All four shows broke the $1 million mark and sold more than 11,000 tickets.
The Gather Again Tour has stuck to Friday and Saturday performances, a formula Church solidified on the Double Down tour, when he played two weekend shows in each city. Dates pick back up this weekend in Louisville, Ky., and Indianapolis, Ind., continuing in the U.S. through May, and hitting Canada in June.
The aptly named Gather Again tour reintroduced Church to fans after two years of COVID-19 closures, earning $35.6 million over 23 shows between Sept. 17 and Dec. 4. The tour’s totals have now grown to $42.3 million and 383,000 tickets, pushing Church’s career Boxscore figures to $246.7 million and 3.9 million tickets from 379 performances. By the end of the run, it will almost certainly become the biggest tour of his career, surpassing the $70.7 million final gross of his 2019 trek.
