For the second time this week, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas is calling for people to reduce their electricity use as temperatures soar.

According to PUC, ways to conserve around the house include:

Turning up your AC one to two degrees. Every degree above 78 can save you up to 8% on your electric bill.Close windows and doors. Keep the sun and hot air out by closing blinds and drapes that receive direct sunlight.Keep your fridge and freezer a full. A full refrigerator uses less energy. Minimize opening and closing your refrigerator doors.Unplug electronics when you are not using them.
