A music legend returns to the stage of one of their most iconic locations one final time in Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium. The epic three-hour livestream event will bring the English musician's final performance at the Los Angeles venue, which has sold out, to Disney+.
I think we took our hats, and we absolutely chucked it as hard as we could in the ring and said, "We'd be honored to do it, it would feel like such a huge thing for us, such an honor for us to take one of the greatest icons in music history, and an Englishman coming to America, and film a gig that is going to be hopefully so memorable and historic in a venue that is so iconic, because of the '75 gig, as well.
Was there any one song that you both were really excited to not only get to see come to life on stage live, but also to help bring to life for this event? I always think of live television like you're running this marathon to an edge of a cliff, and then as soon as you go live, you jump off that cliff, and you just sort of got to hope the parachute works, and it all goes okay. But, I sort of feel like that's a lot about live TV, so when he starts playing, and we can just enjoy him playing and just depict that in the best possible way, I think I'll feel really excited to be part of it.
This isn't that, this is a show that's sold out, that was happening well before Disney+ or Fulwell73 ever decided to film it. So, it's actually a different approach to it, because you've got to see what's already there, and you can't interrupt [that], you can't be in the way of [the crowd]. You can't suddenly put a Jimmy Jib and expect all the people who've bought seats there to move out.
